Camping Serro da Bica
Our small-scale campsite is in the Baixo Alentejo in southwestern Portugal. On the various spacious terraces you can camp under cork and holm oaks with a magnificent view of the overwhelming landscape. Here you will find peace, space and relaxation. Our site is located directly on the clean river Mira (fishing and swimming) and about 6 km from the reservoir Sta. Clara, one of the largest in Portugal.
Facilities
The campsite has a luxury sanitary building with floor heating, very spacious showers and a spacious (washing) area with hot water. In our log cabin you will find information about the region including 20 hiking routes. You can regularly chat in the log cabin or on the terrace.
Highlights
For hikers, it is a pleasure haven here, for example, the route along the river to the reservoir (6 km), or the village of Fernão Vaz (1 km). The walking routes vary in length from 5 km to 13 km or in time from 1 to 8 hours. You can also follow an archaeological circuit, which includes a Roman ruin (700 BC).
Sights
At 10 km you will find the town of Ourique where you can do all your shopping. To the west (65 km) you will come to the Costa Vicentina with its beautiful rugged rocks and in between various beaches. If you drive south, you will arrive in the middle of the Algarve (Albufeira 60 km). And about 20 minutes to the southwest you reach the Serra de Monchique.

Route description
You reach us when you follow the IC1 upto about 10 km south of Ourique. At the milestone 679 get into the emergency lane for 400m and at 679,4 turn right. After that follow the signs for 300m and you arrive at the campsite. If you are on the IC1 driving to the north in the direction of Ourique, turn around at milestone km 678,6 (Castro da Cola) and follow as mentioned above.
